12 Days of Christmas Cookies Peanut Blossoms

These are Peanut Blossoms, and they seem to be everyone’s favorite! I know they are one of mine! This year I put some kisses and some 1/2 of a peanut butter cup. They are fun to play with.

  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees

Now prepare your cookie sheets, line with parchment or Silpat’s

Now add your Crisco, peanut butter and the 2 kinds of sugar to your mixer bowl and cream together well

Now add eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda and salt, blend well

When your dough is ready, time to scoop them out.

Now this is where I do differently from most people. I do not roll the cookies in sugar. I have made a thousand of these over the years for my cookie trays. When I roll them into sugar, the kisses inevitably fall off, so no sugar rolling for me! lol

scoop your dough and place them on your cookie sheet, 12 per sheet

Now place them in the oven and bake for 8 – 10 minutes.

When they are done, let them cool for about 3 minutes, then place the peanut butter cup half or a kiss right in the middle, now let them cool till the chocolate is cooled completely.

After they are completely cool, you can remove them from the cookie sheet and place on your cookie trays.

They are now ready to serve and enjoy!
