These Candy Bar Cookies are delicious! My family loves them. They have a delightful flavor and are even better when dunked in coffee or a nice big glass of cold milk. They are rolled in turbinado sugar which gives them a crunchy exterior. They are so good. I hope you try them!
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 bag of Butterfinger Bits (they will be on your baking isle where the chocolate chips and such are)
- a dish of turbinado sugar for rolling

Preheat your oven to 375*
Prepare your sheet pans with parchment or silicone baking mats
Place Crisco, butter and brown sugar in your mixer bowl. Cream these together. Now add your egg and vanilla. Now put the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix till well blended.
Now add the Butterfinger bits and mix well.
Scoop your cookie and roll into the turbinado sugar and place on your prepared baking sheet.
These will spread a bit, so use 12 cookies per tray. I did have 1 extra cookie, so I rearranged my cookies to fit it on the same tray, so one has 12, one has 13.
Now bake for 12-14 minutes. They will firm up as they cool. Do not over bake.
When baked, let them sit on the tray for about 5 minutes, then place them on your cooling rack and cool completely.

Now grab a cup of coffee, a cookie or 2 and enjoy!!
In memory of my precious momma, Barbara, I am using her Christmas plates and coffee mugs to display my work. It makes every cookie I make all the more special.
