My daddy loves chocolate chippers as he calls them, so yesterday afternoon, I whipped him up a batch and surprised him with them after supper. They are a simple and delicious cookie. I didn’t do a full photo shoot of this recipe because I was making it for my dad. Then after I got started, I decided to capture it and make a chocolate chipper post! They are yummy. I hope you will try them!
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (I used both, because I had them both)
First preheat your oven to 375*
Now prepare your baking sheets with parchment or silicone mats
Place your butter and the sugars into your mixer bowl. Cream well, then add the vanilla and the eggs. Blend well. Now add the flour, baking soda and salt, blend well. Now add the chocolate chips and nuts, blend well.

Now scoop your cookies, you will need 3 or 4 trays, depending on the size scoop you use.
Now place the cookies into the hot oven and bake 10 minutes, add a minute or 2 more after 10 minutes, if needed.
Now remove the cookies from the oven, let them cool for about 5 minutes, then place them on the cooling rack.

Now grab a cup of coffee, a couple chocolate chippers and enjoy!!
